In line with raising women awareness of the initiatives, services and projects provided by the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA), the Authority participated at the monthly General Meeting of the American Women’s Association (AWA). With the attendance of nearly 200 AWA members, the meeting was held on Monday (12th February) at the Movenpick Hotel.

During the meeting, iGA’s Communications & Marketing Acting Director Ms. Lulwa Sami Ebrahim gave a presentation of the authority’s eServices which can benefit the Bahraini women and expats community as they form an important segment in the society.

In this regard, Ms. Lulwa noted that the meeting with AWA members is a valuable opportunity to support and empower women, specifically businesswomen, in order to introduce eServices that they can benefit from as well as enable them to carry-out their active roles in the society by saving time and efforts when completing transactions. This is in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and global trends in supporting and empowering women since sustainable development cannot continue without women’s active role in various societies.

The presentation highlighted key eServices and projects provided by the Authority in a number of fields and eChannels which can be utilized to complete diverse transactions via the national portal bahrain.bh, mobile apps and ekiosks. Additionally, introduce attendees to other sectors such as Information Technology, Statistics and Population Register.
