INJAZ Bahrain Conducts “Innovation Camps” Workshop for Student Entrepreneurs

INJAZ Bahrain has successfully conducted six “Innovation Camp” workshops for students during the spring semester of the 2015-2016 academic year. The workshop, saw the participation of 484 students who and benefited from the entrepreneurship program with the assistance of 56 corporate volunteers and six Bahraini entrepreneurs who shared valuable knowledge, experience and guidance to the students with a variety of hands-on activities. The workshops were held with the support of valuable board members and leading partners Alba, Al Salam Bank, Citi Bahrain, Bahrain Bayan School, Arabian Pearl Gulf Private School and University of Bahrain.

Through the program, students were able to discover their own skill-sets, identify the building blocks of a business startup, understand how to think outside of the box and work as a team to find a creative solution for a real business challenge. The students then presented their innovative ideas to the judges, with one team being announced as the winner. All participants received a certificate from INJAZ Bahrain for successfully completing the Innovation Camp workshop.

iCamp workshop is an exciting one day workshop that challenges students to find the most innovative solution to business challenges using critical thinking, teamwork, communication and leadership skills. The program gives the students the opportunity to engage in brainteasers and activities with a corporate mentor, meant to expand their thinking through engaging with successful Bahraini entrepreneurs, who shared her success story with the participating teams.
