Kanoo Paint Centre Conducts Training on Latest Mirka Solutions

Kanoo Paint Centre (KPC), a division of Ebrahim K. Kanoo, recently conducted demonstration & training sessions on the Mirka OSP (Optimised Surface Preparation) for technicians from multiple private companies in Bahrain.

Mirka is a world leader in surface finishing technologies, offering a broad range of ground-breaking sanding solutions for the surface finishing and precision which is vital to professionals that deal with maintenance and painting of surfaces such as vehicle bodies and marine hulls.

The OSP system is a net sanding system solution specifically for automotive refinishing. It is a simple standardized system with a clearly defined process and maximized performance. It is also a ‘dust free’ process where dust is eliminated due to a built in vacuum system, allowing it to be an environmentally friendly, healthy and safer alternative to regular sanding machines.

Technicians from private sector companies around Bahrain received the specialised demonstration and training from KPC experts which focused on speed, control, simplicity and repeatability. The participants had a range of backgrounds working in the automotive, construction, marine and interior design fields which clearly shows the versatility of Mirka’s products and programs.

Kanoo Paint Centre Manager, Mr. Coenraad Jansen commented, “This specialised session was developed to educate professionals on the correct repair and preparation process to address the specific issues faced by our participants and their companies. Mirka is truly a world leader in high performance abrasives and tools and their in depth understanding of the needs of every market solidifies their authority in this field.

OSP provides a cost effective, faster service which highly benefits the owners of private body workshops and companies in the automotive and marine industries. Mirka’s tools are ergonomic and easy to control and the standardized, step-by-step process means predictable, consistent quality on every repair.”

The training was conducted by Kanoo Paint Centre’s technical training instructor; Mr. Muhammad Asif, and Mirka’s technical advisor; Mr. Angileto Revera. Along with Mirka, KPC offers a wide range of paints, coatings and accessories from leading brands Kansai Paint, DeBeer Refinish, Valspar Industrial Mix, RM Paints, Kapci, Dulux, 3M, Finixa, Henkel, PPG Protective and Marine, and Devilbliss.
