“Kids R Golden” Campaign organise a trip for cancer-stricken children

“Kids R Golden 5” Campaign, held by “Smile” initiative by Future Society for Youth, that has been launched this September organised a trip for cancer-stricken children at City Centre Mall, attended by children with their parents as well as campaign volunteers.

The entertainment event included a movie show hosted by VOX Cinemaco Cinema. Children also had free access to Magic Planet in the mall and enjoyed the games.

Making remarks, Chairman of Future Society for Youth Mr. Subah Al Zayani extended his thanks to Fox CinemaCo and Magic planet for their generosity in supporting this event, lauding he efforts of Campaign’s volunteers to provide the greatest opportunity for the little heroes to participate in a wide range of intertaining events. And providing a permanent platform for parents of sick kids to support them psychologically.

Mr Al Zayani stressed that “Kids R Golden 5” Campaign witnessed unprecedented success with the partnership of Ministry of Health (MoH), Ministry of Labor and Social Development, Ministry of Works (MUN), along with support of private sector representatives including; NBB, BBK, Gulf Hotel Bahrain, Y.K. Almoayyed, Maya La Chocolaterie, Seef Mall and Marriott Group.

According to the campaign program, an awareness platform will be held on 21 and 22 September at Seef Mall in Manama. It will include a variety of stations for children and adults to raise awareness of children cancer and mobilise community support for cancer patients and their parents. Campaign’s fourth event, at September 28, will be a walkathon Prince Salman Park, which will be attended by a number of schools, civil society organisations, companies and public.

“Kids R Golden” Campaign will conclude its activities on October 11 with a charity event at on of the major hotels in which Najma Abdullah will participate in a variety of musical performances, in addition to A ruffle at the end of the event. The proceeds will be donated to children with cancer and their families. NGOs will organize side events as a support and contribution to this community awareness campaign.

Smile initiative launches this campaign every september to spread awareness of Childhood Cancer, placing Bahrain on the list of countries that participate annually in Childhood Cancer September events, highlighting Bahrain’s achievements in health and medical services for cancer-stricken children.
