When creativity, imagination and an immense love for children merged together, Baby Clay was founded by none other than the extremely talented and loving lady, Inas Yacoub, who is going places with her animations and films for children. BTW speaks to the lady behind the company Baby Clay has been achieving various awards from Bahrain TV, Arab State Broadcasting Union (ASBU) Tunisia and also Jordan for their excellent animation works.

Tell us briefly about yourself: where you were born and raised, any special childhood memories, etc.

I was born in Egypt – Cairo and grew up in Saudi Arabia. My father was employed as an engineer in Saudi and my mother was a school manager . Regarding  my childhood, I really miss my school days. I used to participate in schools stage performances/drama and had achieved many rewards and  appreciation for my skills.

Briefly tell us about your educational and professional background.

I have done Master’s in sociology for special children. Right from the beginning, I was really very keen towards kids from starting and wanted to do something substantial for them through my work.

Did you have an interest in animation and film-making right from the beginning?

Yes, I was very much interested in animation and film-making right from my childhood. I participated  in various stage dramas, elocution events and in other creative pursuits. Even my family supported me from the beginning. My brother is a cameraman shooting in movies and my sister working with the  FM radio.

Tell us about Baby Clay and when and how you founded this enterprise?

Baby Clay is a private company and its main objective is to produce advertising materials, media units, T.V. serials, commercial and entertainment songs by using graphics and the most sophisticated and modern information and communication techniques.

Baby Clay was founded in 2006 in Egypt in support of my family and our interest as we love children and want to make something different for them to motivate and encourage them for a better future.

What had been the initial challenges or obstacles when you started up Baby Clay?

While establishing the company we have faced some challenges. However, I was very confident to handle it and my husband & family always supported me in all ways – giving suggestions, cooperating and helped financially while establishing the company.

How has Baby Clay grown over the years?

Actually when we started up Baby Clay, we focused on child fitness. Our vision – is to continuously learn from children and to understand their circumstances in a fast changing and more demanding world, to build our brand through creativity and innovation and to develop and deliver a unique program. Our main objective is to make children smart, sharp and physically strong by providing fitness classes and by producing animation movies with good moral of stories for their better future

Any major achievements/awards received so far?

We have received many appreciations and awards for our team work. My recent achievement were from Bahrain TV, Arab State Broadcasting Union (ASBU) Tunisia and as well from Jordan for our animation works.

What according to you are the basic requisite qualities of a good entrepreneur?

A good entrepreneur must have passion for his work, should be open-minded, should always have desire to succeed & strive hard to be an expert, should have creativity, should take his work seriously, plan his work well and of course should value customer needs.

As a wife, a mother and a business woman it’s hard to handle everything at a time but I am really thankful to my husband and family as they understand and support me at all levels.

What is your message to aspiring entrepreneurs of Bahrain?

I want to motivate them with the saying of John Maxwell – “You will never change your life until you change something you do daily, the secret of your success is found in your daily routine”.
