Majid Al Futtaim—the leading shopping mall, communities, retail and leisure pioneer across the Middle East, Africa and Asia—is launching its annual ‘Make a Difference’ campaign across all shopping malls in Bahrain, Oman and the UAE, this Ramadan. City Centre Bahrain has tailored a programme in the spirit of togetherness and solidarity for all visitors, throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan.
In partnership with the Bahrain Islamic Association, City Centre Bahrain is offering the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those in need. Special donation boxes will be placed at the mall behind the main customer service desk on the ground floor. Visitors are invited to donate gently used clothes, books, toys and non-perishable food items, which will be collected and donated through the distribution channels of the local charity organisation, warming the hearts of thousands of people.
“Ramadan is a time to reflect, give back and spend time with family, friends and loved ones in the spirit of togetherness. City Centre Bahrain will be there throughout the month with themed décor, activities, entertainment, and opportunities to give to those in need,” said Duaij Khalifa Al Rumaihi, Senior Mall Manager, City Centre Bahrain.
Families coming to the mall to donate from May 31 to June 6, 2018, can visit the ‘Build a bear’ activation booth. Little ones will be able to drop their donations on a conveyor belt, while learning more about Ramadan values through animated screens, and, surprise: they will get a lovely teddy bear coming out in return!
