Gulf International Bank (GIB) is pleased to announce its platinum sponsorship of the Middle East Investment Conference taking place in the Ritz-Carlton Bahrain on April 13. The conference, under the patronage of H.E. Rasheed Mohammed Al Maraj, Governor, Central Bank of Bahrain, is jointly hosted by the CFA Institute and CFA Society Bahrain.

The 2016 conference brings together more than 300 senior investment professionals and offers a unique opportunity for delegates to gain first hand insights from leading international thought leaders, policymakers, industry experts and key market participants.

GIB CEO Mr. Abdulaziz A. Al-Helaissi commented on the bank’s involvement, saying: “GIB is delighted to support the Middle East Investment Conference. The range of topics and speakers at the conference will foster a greater understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the Middle East.”

This year, GIB is celebrating its 40th anniversary across its key markets in the GCC, London and New York. Over the past 40 years GIB has demonstrated its financial expertise with its primary business activities of corporate advisory, asset management, structured and project finance, and GCC capital markets mediation.

GIB was named “Best Investment Bank in Bahrain” and “Best Debt Bank in the Middle East” by the Global Finance Awards.

GIB is owned by the six Gulf Cooperation Council countries. Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund owns 97.2% of GIB.
