NBB Introduces Points Monthly Challenge to reward customers for their daily financial transactions

The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) has recently introduced a new rewards-based gamification experience to its Points by NBB users. Through a series of challenges, customers will be able to earn additional rewards when using the Bank’s various channels and services to complete different challenges. Under the theme “Points Monthly Challenge”, customers can elevate their banking journey with challenges that focus on daily engagements that meet their financial needs such as types of transactions, as well as the number of transactions and their total value.

Supported by its brand promise of being “Closer to You”, NBB’s latest campaign is the first of its kind in the Kingdom, offering an extensive lineup of exciting challenges on daily banking activities, including: credit and prepaid card expenditure both locally and internationally, sending money locally and internationally using NBB’s Digital Banking app, and cash withdrawals from NBB’s ATMs.

Customers are required to add or update their email address through Points by NBB as they will be receiving a weekly emailer on their challenge status. Users will begin earning additional rewards at the end the monthly challenge.

Commenting on the occasion, Subah Abdullatif Al Zayani, Chief Executive Retail Banking at NBB, said: “We are pleased to be the first bank in Bahrain to introduce a gamification experience through our loyalty rewards platform. With a focus on offering an exceptional banking experience, the initiative is designed to reward customers who use our various services and digital channels. NBB is committed to developing customer-centric initiatives that further position NBB as the bank of choice for day-to-day banking activities.”

On his end, Omar Al Adhami, Head of Retail Digital Banking at NBB, said: “The Points Monthly Challenge utilises a challenge-based format that rewards customers for their daily banking activities. From daily spending to cash withdrawals on NBB’s ATMs, the various challenges will enable Points by NBB users to gain rewards for their lifestyle choices through our digital channels. NBB continues to deliver engaging campaigns that bring us closer to our customers.”

Points by NBB enables customers to redeem their base points through cashback, Air Miles from Gulf Air, donations to various charities. As for their bonus points, it can be redeemed against raffle tickets that allows them to participate in different raffles taking part throughout the year to win valuable prizes. Customers can earn more when they bank more with NBB, enjoying a vast range of offers and discounts with participating merchants.
