Nissan Bahrain participates in Breast Cancer Awareness

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Nissan Bahrain has converted a van into an equipped mobile clinic for free medical checkups throughout the island. In collaboration with the Women’s Supreme Council of Bahrain, the initiatives led by Yousif and Aysha Almoayyed Charity Organization in their efforts to support the breast cancer awareness campaign started by the London Breast Care Centre. The van can be seen stationed at various locations offering free tests and consultation for women.

The vehicle was branded and modified by Gradinger and BOTT, converting it into a complete clinic inclusive of a bed, mammography machine and consultation corner with adequate sanitation.

Dr. Sara Al Reefy, head of London Breast Care Centre said “I would like to thank Nissan Bahrain for setting up the mobile clinic and Yousif and Aysha Almoayyed Charity for offering this privilege to all the women in Bahrain as it is important to spread awareness about this ailment.” She added “It is critical for women over 40 and women with breast cancer history in their family to have the test done, as early detection can increase the chance of full recovery by 90%.”

Hala Almoayyed, Director at Y.K. Almoayyed & Sons expressed “We urge all women to participate in this campaign as the mobile clinic will be visiting all areas of the country, giving everyone the opportunity to have the checkup done. Nissan Bahrain and Almoayyed family will continue to provide support and contributions towards building a better society”.
