In a historic achievement, New Millennium School (NMS) of Bahrain secured the Silver medal in the CBSE National Chess Championship 2023 held at Gyanshree School in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, from November 24-26. The accolade was earned in the fiercely contested Under-14 Mixed Team Event, where NMS competed against 20 other teams.
The victorious NMS team, comprised of Rishi N, Navaneet Sreekanth, Rudra N, and Hudson Antony, showcased exceptional strategic prowess throughout the competition under the guidance of their coach, Mr. Arjun Kakkadath and Team Manager, Mr. Antony Prabahar.
This achievement marks a significant milestone for NMS, as it becomes the first school from Bahrain to clinch a medal in the CBSE National Chess Championship. The players’ dedication and stellar performance showcased the school’s commitment to excellence in both academics and extracurricular activities.
