Diyar Al Muharraq, one of the largest urban development companies in the Kingdom of Bahrain, announced the launch of its first Social Media Photography Contest. The competition is aimed at creating a competitive environment for photographers as well as embracing the development of their photography skills.
The competition will extend for the duration of one month under the title of ‘Scenery from Diyar Al Muharraq’ and the contestants will have the right to submit up to four pictures within the mentioned theme using their mobile phones or their professional cameras.
On this occasion, the Chief Executive Officer of Diyar Al Muharraq, Dr. Maher Al Shaer, said: “We are proud to launch our first photography competition which comes in line with our aims to further encourage local talents in this field. We shall be selecting 15 winners in this competition in order to support as many local talents as possible and, at the same time, increase their chances of winning.”
“Diyar Al Muharraq has recently developed several projects including Dragon City, Diyar Homes, Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa Grand Mosque, Marassi Al Bahrain, Al Bareh and Sarat, and so, there are plenty of locations for our contestants to choose from in their quest for glory. Therefore, we call on all professional and amateur photographers to participate in this competition,” he added.
The competing pictures can either be in color or black and white, and they should be submitted through “Instagram” during the period extending from the 7th of April to the 7th of May 2016 using the hashtag, ‘#DiyarPhoto’.
The winners’ names will be announced after the submissions are tallied and the votes are reviewed by the Head Office of Diyar Al Muharraq. In addition, once the winners are announced, all winning images as well those that entered into the final round of selection, will be put on display at Diyar Al Muharraq’s Sales Office.
