Board member of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa has stressed that the initiatives of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa – His Majesty the King Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, have contributed to developing the youth and sports movement in the kingdom at all levels.
Shaikha Hayat was commenting on Shaikh Nasser’s directives to build 100 stadiums across Bahrain’s neighborhoods.
​Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa directed to establish 100 playgrounds, his initiative to establish these playgrounds around the neighborhoods in order to provide a suitable environment for young people and groups of society to exercise in sports, in addition to emphasizing the role of Al Firjan playgrounds in supporting national clubs and teams and providing them with many sports talents.
Shaikha Hayat stressed that Shaikh Nasser’s initiative is among the most advanced at the local and regional levels, noting that it reflects his recognition of the key role played by neighborhoods’ stadiums in embracing Bahraini youth and enabling them to practice various sports activities.
It is to be noted that Shaikh Nasser launched an initiative to set up 100 multi-purpose stadiums in Bahrain’s neighborhoods across the kingdom’s villages and towns.
