On March 19th at 8:30 p.m. (20:30) local time, Sheraton Bahrain Hotel invite you to shine the light on climate change by going dark, and join us and millions of individuals, organizations, businesses and governments across the globe for Earth Hour 2016.  Earth Hour is a global effort to emphasize the risk of climate change and the need to reduce carbon emissions. It has become a powerful symbol that all of our small steps can have an impactful and lasting difference on the health of our planet.

It started up with an idea in 2004 and become a global initiative to save the earth. To learn more about Earth Hour, visit the official website at www.earthhour.org.

In 2015, hundreds of millions of individuals participated in the biggest Earth Hour to date creating history as the world’s largest ever voluntary action. To get a better sense of the magnitude and inspiring nature of the event, please take a moment to watch the Earth Hour 2016 official video at www.youtube.com/earthhour.

This is the eighth year in which Starwood has participated in Earth Hour. Last year’s incredibly successful event included participation of nearly 600 of Starwood’s hotels and offices globally, many of them sharing their stories, pictures and videos with us by using #SW2ndNature within their postings.
