‘Shop Bahrain’ Organising Committee launched a roadshow in major GCC cities introducing the festival, calendar of events and the tailor-made travel packages available to visitors and tourists coming in during the period of the festival. The promotional tour that was held over three consecutive days included press conferences attended by prominent journalists from Jeddah, Doha and Kuwait.
The roadshow aimed to mirror the Kingdom’s position as a family destination with its unique location and easy accessibility from neighboring Gulf countries either by the King Fahad Causeway or Bahrain International Airport. In addition, the roadshow aimed to strengthen the ties between the citizens of the region, celebrating the authentic Arab heritage and modern life landmarks, confirming the common GCC identity in an atmosphere of fun and shopping.
The GCC roadshow received a lot of interest and attention from journalists that were keen on covering the press conferences to inform their readers with the major events and activities held at a regional level.
Commenting on the roadshow, Shop Bahrain Director, Nawaf Al Koheji said, “The tour comes at a time in which the Kingdom of Bahrain has set a new record for the number of visitors coming in. We have witnessed a steady growth in recent years according to statistics, with about 6.6 million visitors from the region entering the country in the year 2014.”
“Therefore, we have decided to embark on a roadshow to introduce ‘Shop Bahrain’ and its exciting line-up of calendar of events that is suitable for the GCC family. In addition, this year we are offering tailor-made travel packages that guarantee unique experiences for shoppers.” He added.
‘Shop Bahrain’ is set to be the largest nationwide festival with a unique 30-day celebration of Bahrain’s heritage, hospitality and tourism offering for the entire family running from 24th December 2015 until 23rd January 2016.
