“Tamkeen” Concludes "Be Productive" Initiative to Support Micro-Enterprises

As part of its efforts to support enterprises and provide them with opportunities to grow and develop, Tamkeen, in cooperation with a number of ministries, banks and major companies in the kingdom, concluded its third event that comes as part of a series of interactive events under the “Kun Muntijan” (Be Productive) initiative on September 3rd, 2016. An initiative which aims to help micro-enterprises become more aware of the type of support they could leverage and the solutions that are available to them.

“Kun Muntajan” initiative is part of the Tamkeen’s advisory services that Tamkeen launched early this year and it aims to support individuals in enhancing their businesses.

This initiative aims to create awareness among Micro-Enterprises on the challenges they face and help them identify different solutions available. In addition, “Kun Muntajan” held specialized workshops on various topics to support entrepreneurs grow in their businesses, hence that the total number of participants in the three copies exceeded 420 participants.

The third and final workshop of “Kun Muntajan” highlighted customer care engagement and long-term relationship between the entrepreneur and customers.

The workshop was hosted by Raed Abdullah, Head of the Department of Community Engagement in “Tamkeen”.

The previous workshops had positive feedback from the audience where Dr. Sama Al Hashimi an Assistant Professor in Multimedia, Department of Mass Communication and Tourism at the University of Bahrain, presented a workshop regarding “Basics of Designing Commercial Identities”. Furthermore, Mr. Ali Sabkar, President of Social Media Club held a workshop regarding “The Importance of Social Media”.

“Kun Muntajan” continuously provides support for individuals and enterprises during all stages of their development process, by partnering with Ministry of Labor and Social Development, Bahrain Chamber Of Commerce and Industry, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Social Media Club, Family Bank, Ibda’a Bank, Khaleeji Commercial Bank, Zain, Paytabs, Tam Express and Kickmall and Felocal.
