The preliminary course in Olympic equestrian games which was organised by Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF)  for equestrian sports’ trainers came to a successful conclusion. At the end of the event, a closing ceremony was organised, where Mr Ghaleb Al Alawi, Secretary of BREEF handed the participants certificates of completion.

The course was held following directives from HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs which were issued in line with his keenness to train and promote technical cadres serving in local studs via allowing them to partake in training programmes to help the academic progress of trainers.

The event was organised in cooperation with the FEI (Fédération Equestre Internationale – International Federation for Equestrian Sports) and Muharraq Equestrian Academy.  It’s the first of a series of training courses and considered an introduction for the up-coming training course which will take place in March, 2021.

Al Alawi attended the closing ceremony of the event to honour the participants. He praised the broad participation in the course, stating that it reflects the trainers’ keenness to advance their capabilities. He conveyed to the participants  the regards of BREEF President HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa. Moreover, he stressed BREEF’s keenness to implement the directives of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and HH Shaikh Isa  bin Abdullah Al Khalifa in order to upgrade the equestrian sports in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

He also underlined BREEF’s keenness to cooperate with various parties to continue organising similar courses in the near future.

It’s worth mentioning that the course was supervised and presented by Mr. Ahmed Mohammed Abdulla, National Coach who’s certified by FEI (Fédération Equestre Internationale – International Federation for Equestrian Sports) at Muharraq Equestrian Academy.

The two-day course aimed to assist active local trainers in developing their skills, basics and high performance training techniques, in order to play an active role in the development of sports structures through various types of support and assistance.

The FEI trainers’ programme (competition-oriented), relies on providing courses for national federations’ trainers under the supervision of coaches appointed by the FEI to commence the programme in developing regions.
