Traveling Soon? Get Your Coronavirus PCR Test Certificate Via the ‘BeAware Bahrain’ App

The current pandemic has made protecting our health a shared responsibility. Before traveling abroad, you must be tested to ensure that those around you will not be put at risk. As part of the Kingdom’s efforts to streamline testing and travel procedures, a new service has been added to the ‘BeAware Bahrain’ app allowing those travelling from Bahrain to other countries to generate their authenticated PCR (Covid-19) certificates online. The service is included in the latest update of the app, which was launched by the Information & eGovernment Authority to support efforts to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

Travelers must note that a certificate can only be issued via the app for the latest test that applicants have undergone, provided that the results are negative and that no more than a month has passed since they were conducted. Travelers from the Kingdom can apply for the certificate immediately after receiving their test results, which will appear on the app within 24 hours from the date of the test. They can then select the latest test and hit the ‘Print PDF’ option or display the QR Code.

Travelers must then have a printed copy of the valid certificate to display at entry points upon arrival but must take into consideration the official timeframes for accepting the results at the destination countries. Individuals should also retake the test in case they have exceeded that duration as per the regulations of those countries.
