Bapco Hosts UoB Students at Fire School

The Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) hosted a group of students from the University of Bahrain’s (UoB’s) Department of Architecture and Interior Design at its fire school, on Wednesday, 23 March 2016. The visit was held as part of Bapco’s continued partnership with various educational institutions in the Kingdom and as part of its strong Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy. The visiting delegation consisted of 64 students and was headed by Professor Saeed Abdulrahim. The students visited Bapco with the objective of studying the firefighting requirements in buildings, and furthermore, the visit was also held with the aim of familiarising the students with Bapco’s various firefighting technologies and practices. During the visit, Bapco’s Senior Fire Officer from the Health, Safety & Environment Department, Dr. Jamal Kamal gave the visiting delegation a brief presentation on Bapco’s dedicated role in fostering a culture of safety in the kingdom. The UoB students’ visit falls in line with Bapco’s continued efforts aimed at fostering relations with various institutions around the kingdom. The visit was organised by Bapco’s Superintendent (Special Assignment) from the Public Relations Department, Mr. Fahad Shamsan.
