Yas Island to host unforgettable Eid Al Adha celebrations

Yas Island, the UAE’s premier leisure and entertainment destination, is set to usher in an unforgettable line-up of Eid Al Adha celebrations taking place over the course of the holiday from August 21-26. In addition to Yas Marina’s signature fireworks show, visitors will be spoilt for choice with a wide range of events, activities and cultural celebrations taking place at Yas Waterworld, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Warner Bros. World™ Abu Dhabi, and Yas Mall. With enough exciting experiences to jam-pack the holiday with family fun, visitors and vacationers needn’t go any further for an Eid Al Adha to remember on Yas Island.

From August 21-25, visitors to Yas Mall and Cascade Dining can enjoy a treat this Eid with five days of exciting family entertainment including live shows, arts and crafts and much more at the capital’s largest shopping mall. Yas Mall is also bringing video game lovers the opportunity to celebrate the holiday in their own way, inviting them to experience gaming like never before at the Yas Gaming Festival which will kick off on August 22.

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi will play host to a live cook-off between Yas Island’s celebrated chefs as they go head-to-head in the Black Box Chef Competition taking place at 2:00 pm on August 23. Guests of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi will also be able to enjoy a unique set of culturally inspired celebrations from August 22-26, including a ‘Cultural Maze’, encounters with the park’s perfume maker and fishermen in the Heritage Village and a theatrical storytelling experience.

Yas Waterworld is set to entertain guests with a splash-tastic line-up of Eid Al Adha activities. Families and loved ones can experience authentic Emirati culture with performances from local drummers and Ayalah dancers in addition to all-day play on over 40 thrilling rides, slides and attractions including the region’s first 5D water adventure, Cinesplash. Eid Al Adha will also see the return of Yas Waterworld’s Neon Nights on August 24 where celebrations will light up the night with glowing entertainment.

Guests celebrating Eid at Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi can join iconic DC Super Heroes including Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, as well as favourite animation characters such as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Scooby-Doo for a festive day of endless family fun. With 29 rides, attractions and live entertainment shows across six lands, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at Yas Island’s newest theme park. Guests can experience the thrill with rides in Metropolis and Gotham City while little ones enjoy whimsical rides, a soft play area, face painting and caricatures in Cartoon Junction.

And what better way to round up every day of Eid Al Adha than watching Yas Marina’s spectacular fireworks show set to take place at 9 pm every night for the first three days of Eid. The fireworks display is said to be best enjoyed within the electric crowds on the Yas Marina promenade or on board a traditional dhow with Captain Tony’s Eid Fireworks Fun Cruise. For an indoor viewing experience, visitors can also witness the fireworks in air-conditioned comfort from one of Yas Marina’s many restaurant terraces.

Visitors can make this Eid holiday one to remember by booking a stay at one of Yas Island’s seven hotels and enjoying unrivalled entertainment value with the newly updated ‘Stay & Play’ package. Each hotel night booked through Yas Island’s website includes tickets to one of the Island’s theme parks. Families can choose between Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld and the newly opened Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, giving them more options to play the longer they stay.

What’s more – those spending Eid on Yas Island will be in the running to win an Eid gift like no other with the Treasure on Yas summer extravaganza. Each purchase of AED 300 at participating attractions will give visitors a chance to enter the island’s weekly draw of AED 100,000.
