Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain – 23rd July 2019 – Dr. Jawaher Shaheen AlMudhahki, Chief Executive of the Education & Training Quality Authority (BQA) concluded her two-week participation in the BQA Blog, which was launched in collaboration with Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) through the National Portal, bahrain.bh. Her Excellency praised the public’s engagement with the Blog both in terms of the quality and the volume of the interactions.
The BQA Blog, which carried an Instagram Live interview with Dr. AlMudhahki, attracted more than 12,000 page views and comments and inquiries on the activities of the Authority and its various directorates.
“Since its launch, the Authority has followed a clear strategy of transparency and direct communication with the public, with all our standards and reports on the performance of the Kingdom’s schools, higher education institutions, and other education providers published and updated regularly on our official website,” Dr. AlMudhahki said.
She added that this transparency is reflected at all levels of the Authority’s work in line with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 to improve the quality of all educational and training institutions, through continuous engagement with them and with other stakeholders.
Topics covered by the Blog included inquiries of National Examinations role in monitoring the level of education in schools relative to the national average; the education outputs that the Authority monitors periodically; review timelines of government and private schools ;university and institute performance reviews. The Blog also discussed the National Qualifications Framework, its ranking and institutional listing mechanisms and its role in developing the Kingdom’s education and training.
