The Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, His Excellency Mr. Zayed Al Zayani honored today the Advisor at the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, Dr. Ali Follad, in the presence of BTEA’s CEO, His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Humood Al Khalifa, for his efforts in successfully organizing the first wedding in the Kingdom in line with the strategic tourism strategy 2016-2018 aimed at positioning Bahrain as a wedding destination.
The Minister thanked Dr. Follad for all his efforts and praised BTEA’s efforts in successfully implementing the strategy which aims to further develop the tourism sector in the Kingdom.
“I would like to thank Dr. Follad for his efforts and coordinating with the wedding planners and other companies to successfully portray the kingdom’s capability in hosting such events,” added Al Zayani.
Further commenting, HE Shaikh Khalid bin Humood Al Khalifa, CEO of BTEA said: “This is the first wedding hosted in Bahrain as a part of its strategy to be positioned as a wedding hub. A number of companies in Bahrain benefitted from this event which positively impacted the local economy.”
