If you’re changing locations and worried about utility bills accumulating at your previous address, you will undoubtedly find the EWA app extremely helpful. Provided by Electricity and Water Authority (EWA), in cooperation with the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA), the app allows those with an EWA account, whether individuals or businesses, to request a permanent disconnection or temporary halt until you submit another request to reconnect.
The service is also available on the National Portal, bahrain.bh, including online bill payments, deposit payment, meter reading submissions, and ebilling subscriptions so that you can receive your bills by email.
This is in addition to services which require the use of the eKey, such as viewing bills and bill histories online, viewing payment history details, requesting electricity, water, and municipalities service registrations for new customers, status enquiries on submitted requests, and a profile updating feature, including changing mail addresses and bill language.
