As the name suggests, you’re going to get acquainted with monkeys at this resto bar. A lot of monkeys. This sleek resto-bar at the Arch Hotel Juffair, houses artwork of monkeys on every corner, from monkey statues, to monkey murals on its walls, up to the menu you’ll be eager to open. The place reminds you of street graffiti and chill cafe hang-outs with great music courtesy of a live DJ.
Drinks are great, place looks great, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the food is something you wouldn’t want to miss. Be it Italian pasta, Indian curry, or American burgers, Social Monkey’s menu has something you want. The Flaky Chicken tenders is an incredible welcome to the dishes on Social Monkey’s menu. Along with one of the most popular house drinks, and you get a side of this juicy breaded chicken strip placed on a chic motorcycle and dip. From there, you’ll only want more and no one will blame you for that.
Wagyu Sliders are three burgers that come with different colored buns. The crisp vegetables, juicy premium beef, and house sauce makes a wonderful bite. Social Monkey Fish Tikka comes in a small grill with 3 dips to choose from. It’s also color green and resembles the taste of pesto. Prawn Linguini is pasta with freshly-made pomodoro sauce and prawns sided with garlic & butter baguette slices.
Lamb Rogan Josh is one of their best-sellers and once you taste that spicy puree sauce of herbs and bite into stunningly soft lamb cuts, it’s absolutely convincing. The Social Monkey Special is so satisfying, perfectly grilled chicken coupled with bell pepper sauce and North African cous cous salad emulsion.
Santosh Salian, Manager and Sandeep Rawat, Head Chef, are the masterminds behind this monkey business. Both are veterans in the restaurant and industry, and Social Monkey is their venture to resto-bar innovation. The resto-bar has currently promotions like Sandy’s Happy Hour where a meal comes with free drinks, a whole course of meals with choice of dishes for its Business Set Lunch Menu, Ladies night on Tuesdays, King Kong’s Night, which offers unlimited pizza & beverages every Wednesday, and Hospitality Sunday night. They’re on their soft opening now and soon, by the end of August, will have their grand opening.
