As part of its commitment to support entrepreneurs in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Tamkeen, in partnership with Mowgli Foundation, continues to ensure the success of the Entrepreneurial Mentoring Programme in its experimental edition.
The Tamkeen-Mowgli Jam activity, held on Saturday, October 22, 2016, reviewed project development phases, evaluated performance and work, and examined progress achieved between mentors and mentees, in the first half of the programme. It also envisioned future plans in the next stage.
Mentors are impressed with the improvement in their communication skills professionally and personally. Entrepreneurs also developed in their analytical, time and financial management skills.
In the first half of the programme, Mowgli reported an 80% rate of success in building mentoring relations. This was due to Tamkeen’s support and commitment of mentors and entrepreneurs to the outputs of the four-day training workshops, which started in April this year. At the training courses, 15 mentors and 15 Bahraini entrepreneurs were matched in a bid to develop the skills of those mentees, drawing on Mowgli’s experience in the field.
The one-year programme is part of Tamkeen’s Advisory Services, which provides specialised mentoring and guidance services for enterprises and individuals, overseen by a team of experts and specialists in multiple sectors.
Tamkeen Chief Executive, Dr. Ebrahim Mohamed Janahi, emphasised the organisation’s commitment to do its utmost to improve the Kingdom of Bahrain and ensure a better future.
He said: “Through its Advisory Services, Tamkeen seeks to blend national and international expertise together to develop Bahrain’s private sector, making it the main engine for the Kingdom’s economic growth. This is one of the pillars of the National Reform Programme and Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030. Tamkeen aims to provide education, training and advice for individuals and enterprises to advance them towards a more successful and developed professional life.”
