US Ambassador visits Coca-Cola Bottling facility in Bahrain

During the visit, His Excellency was briefed on Coca-Cola’s operations and sustainability initiatives in Bahrain.

The Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Bahrain (TCCBCB) hosted the US Ambassador to Bahrain, His Excellency William V. Roebuck to the Coca-Cola manufacturing facility as part of the ‘Discover America Week’. As part of the visit, His Excellency was accompanied by Mr. H. Delano Roosevelt, Vice President of American Chamber of Commerce, and were briefed on Coca-Cola’s key role in contributing towards Bahrain’s economic vitality and active support towards community sustainability programs.

Ambassador Roebuck highlighted Coca-Cola as an example of the long-standing commercial relationship between Bahrain and the United States that stretches back over 120 years.

This includes Coca-Cola, Coke Light, Coke Zero, Sprite, Sprite Light, Fanta Orange, Fanta Citrus, Fanta Strawberry, Schweppes range, Arwa and Safia water. Moreover, the company which employees 230 people representing 12 different communities with 33% Bahraini workforce, serves Bahrain and Qatar markets and over 5,600 customers, including retailers, convenience stores, theaters, kiosks and vendors and end-users.

During the visit, the company highlighted its commitment to making a positive difference in Bahrain with community engagement initiatives; raising awareness and educating local community about recycling/upcycling through a charitable art upcycling program, ‘Create Beautiful Things’; providing refreshments to laborers during hot summer months through the ‘Thirst Quenchers’ campaign; as well as the Danat Project; empowering the physically-challenged community with sponsored kiosks placed around Bahrain.
