Embracing the spirit of the holy month, VIVA Bahrain’s Corporate Social Responsibility arm, VIVA Jusoor, has engaged in several Ramadan-focused initiatives to extend a helping hand to the wider community. Every year, VIVA Jusoor spearheads initiatives to renew its commitment to the community and this year too, the company has introduced a new long-term goodwill initiative in partnership with Conserving Bounties Society to benefit the less fortunate, that will extend further and beyond the month of Ramadan.

With efforts to engage with more community members this year, VIVA Jusoor and Conserving Bounties Society’s co-initiative focuses on sourcing surplus food from large gathering events or hotels/restaurants and deliver food parcels to families in need. This initiative with food quality assurance as utmost priority, will be spearheaded from VIVA headquarters with a fully-equipped station of mini vans operated by full-time staff and volunteers who will receive and deliver food to various neighbourhoods across the island.

Moreover, VIVA Jusoor will continue its wide-reaching ‘Ifar Sa’em’ community initiative for the fourth consecutive year, with more than 15,000 meals to be distributed across six public areas including Bab Al Bahrain in Manama, Riffa Souq, Isa Town Souq, Al Hidd Souq, Muharraq Souq and Hamad Town.

Also, VIVA Ramadan food baskets containing essential food items such as basmati rice, cooking oil, tomato paste, milk powder and sugar will be distributed across various charities, families and individuals. Last but not the least, over 100,000 bottles of water will be handed by VIVA Jusoor volunteers at mosques across the island.

With VIVA Jusoor initiatives centered around the ‘spirit of giving’, the organisation aims to continue to build on this chain of positivity to reach the community at large.
