BAS held its annual Long Service Awards Ceremony to recognize 139 employees

Bahrain Airport Services (BAS) hosted its annual Long Service Awards Ceremony to honor around 139 staff members who have completed 10,15,20 and 30 years of service to the company. The annual event aims to celebrate employees for their ongoing dedication and contribution to the company’s success.

The event was held on Wednesday the 6th of September at Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain, under the patronage of H.E. Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, Minister of Labour and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA). The event witnessed the attendance of Mr. Nabeel Khalid Kanoo, Chairman of BAS, in addition to Board members, executive management and the management team.

His Excellency Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, Minister of Labour, congratulated all the honored employees who have shown dedication over the years through their exceptional work at Bahrain Airport Services. He also expressed the Government’s pride in the distinguished competencies who constantly contribute to supporting the growth of companies and the national economy, stressing the importance of such events that aim to motivate employees to achieve more and enhance levels of productivity and development, and creating a positive work environment, thus encouraging creativity, innovation and job stability.

Additionally, the Minister of Labour also praised the management of BAS for the motivating work environment it provides its staff members, appreciating the confidence put forth in the national workforce and its interest in continuing the recruitment and development processes for local cadre at various job levels. Humaidan also praised the company for its high Bahrainisation rate, which exceeded 81%. This reflects the company’s commitment to the policy of recruiting Bahraini competencies, and its belief in the dedication and sincerity of the national workforce, as well as its distinguished impacts in various sectors.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Nabeel Khalid Kanoo, the Chairman of BAS said: “I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our loyal employees and recognize their efforts and dedication to the company over the years. At BAS, we strongly believe that our employees play a vital role in the success of the company.”

He added: “We are proud of our high retention rate that reflects our efforts to reduce staff turnover, as we provide our team members with a positive working environment that values and motivates them to go above and beyond. I am confident that our employees’ spirit of unity and determination will inspire us to achieve further successes over the coming years.”

BAS continues to develop and improve its quality, health, safety and security standards across all its corporate operations to ensure a healthy and motivated work environment that aims to achieve gender equality and encourages employees to move forward in their growth journey.
