Majid Al Futtaim—the leading shopping mall, communities, retail and leisure pioneer across the Middle East, Africa and Asia—received the ‘Health Promoter Mall Award’ in recognition of City Centre Bahrain’s outstanding efforts towards creating a healthy environment for its visitors. The award was presented to Duaij Al Rumaihi, Senior Mall Manager at City Centre Bahrain, by Miss Faeqa bint Saeed Al Saleh, Minister of Health – Kingdom of Bahrain.

City Centre Bahrain introduced the ‘City Walkers’ program in 2010 to provide visitors with weekly in mall complimentary work out sessions with fitness professionals. Designed to offer a lifestyle experience that goes beyond shopping, ‘City Walkers’ addresses a vital health and fitness need within the community.
As well as community activities, City Centre Bahrain has implemented a series of services to enhance health and safety facilities as well as the overall customer experience. The mall recently refurbished twenty-eight baby changing rooms that are fully equipped with everything a parent might need. In the event of an accident, the mall’s first aid rooms are kitted out with the latest equipment and all mall security staffed are qualified in CPR. Customers can now benefit from complimentary freshly dry-cleaned prayer clothing and as the warmer months continue air filters are provided to ensure air quality. In addition, food trays used in the mall’s food court are cleaned in a specially designed machines to ensure the highest level of hygiene.
