The eGovernment Excellence Award 2023 is on the horizon, signaling an opportunity for Bahrain’s public entities, private organizations, civil societies, and individuals to showcase their digital initiatives. The Organizing Committee is all set for the 12th edition, and this year, some intriguing updates are in store.
The award has undergone adjustments to align with the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector’s current and future needs, as the public and private sector categories have now been merged. The award has also introduced 4 new categories that echo Bahrain’s growing investment in emerging technologies and innovation. Categories like ‘Best Utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI)’, ‘Best Environment for Digital Innovation’, and ‘Best Project for Digital Transformation’ reflect the Kingdom’s commitment to digital progress, from businesses and systems to services and electronic products.
This is in addition to the award’s regular categories, such as ‘Best Website’, ‘Best Practice in eParticipation’, ‘Best Integrated eServices’, ‘Best Application for Smart Devices’, ‘Best Environment for Digital Innovation’, ‘Best Utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI)’, and ‘Best Project for Digital Transformation’. Even individuals have a chance to shine through the “Best Digital Initiative” category, acknowledging their role in driving digital innovation.
All eligible entities and individuals are invited to participate once registration opens. From Saturday 5th, August to Tuesday, 31st August 2023, aspiring participants can submit their work online through the official website, egovaward.bh.
