In response to public demand, the Organizing Committee of the Bahrain eGovernment Excellence Award 2023 announced that the registration deadline for participating in the award has now been extended to 7th September. This provides entities from the government, private sector, civil societies, and individuals with ample opportunity to participate and showcase their digital projects and initiatives.
Launched in 2008, the prestigious eGovernment Excellence Award promotes creativity and fosters a culture of innovation by rewarding unique initiatives in the information and communication technology (ICT) sector in Bahrain. Enjoying a rigorous selection process under a highly qualified jury with diverse backgrounds, the award has produced participants who have gone on to showcase their projects on the regional and global stages.
To better align with the ICT sector’s current and future needs, and to strengthen its focus on enhancing services and customer satisfaction, the public and private sector categories have now been merged, raising the bar of excellence and competitiveness. The 12th edition of the award has also introduced new categories that echo Bahrain’s growing investment in emerging technologies and innovation, namely ‘Best Utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI)’, ‘Best Work Environment for Digital Innovation’, and ‘Best Project for Digital Transformation’. This is in addition to the regular categories such as ‘Best Website’, ‘Best Practice in eParticipation’, ‘Best Integrated eServices’, and ‘Best Application for Smart Devices’. Individuals also have a chance to shine through the ‘Best Digital Initiative’ category. All eligible entities and individuals are invited to participate must register through the award’s official website, egovaward.bh by 7th September 2023.
