Labour and Social Development Minister, Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, paid a visit to the Child Welfare Home (Batelco Home).
Through the visit, also attended by parent day care clubs and homes, the minister aimed to share the joy of Eid Al-Adha with the Batelco Home affiliates and senior citizens, in line with the Labour Ministry’s interest in children and senior citizens.
The minister exchanged Eid Al-Adha greetings and best wishes with children and senior citizens and presented them with gifts.
Children and senior citizens expressed their delight at the kind initiative reflecting the government’s keenness to care for them on vaious occasions, which placed the Kingdom among leading countries regarding the provision of all aspects of social protection and care for all social segments.
The minister stressed the importance of deepening communication with children and senior citizens through visiting them to share their joy on various occasions.
Humaidan also said that his visit was an opportunity for him to be informed about the quality of services delivered to them.
The minister highlighted the Kingdom’s strides in caring for children, citing efforts to develop children at the legal, social, educational and cultural fields.
