Sustainable Energy Authority (SEA)’s President Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza participated in the first virtual opening of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week activities organized by Abu Dhabi in UAE under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
A number of world leaders participated in the virtual opening ceremony, including the main speaker HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, and a large number of energy ministers in the GCC and Arab countries and decision-makers.
The ceremony included the World Future Energy Summit, the World Youth Summit, the Abu Dhabi Forum for Sustainable Finance and the Atlantic Council’s Global Energy Forum.
The launch of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week activities in the virtual version for this year is in line with global efforts to limit the spread of COVID-19, while maintaining the pace of the comprehensive development process and global efforts to achieve the United Nations goals for sustainable development in addition to efforts to address climate change, and as the first annual global events The major focuses on sustainability concepts from a global perspective and supports international efforts to achieve it.
